1 Minute Target Practice

Description:

This game is like archery or darts, but the targets are moving. It's quite challenging, but after a few tries, you'll improve quickly.

Theme: Highscore

How to Play:

Move your mouse  to aim the arrow/dart. When you're ready to shoot, click the mouse. The arrow/dart will travel towards the area that you click.

Scoring:

Archery:

You get more points the closer the arrow gets to the center of the target. The points range from 1-10 with 1 being the points on the outermost ring of the target, and 10 being the points on the innermost circle of the target.

Darts:

The points work the same way as a normal darts game. The center is a double bullseye worth 50 points, and the ring just outside it is the single bullseye worth 25 points. The  medium sized ring triples the point value of the region that the dart lands on, and the outermost ring doubles the point value of the region.  The point value corresponding to a region is on the outside area of the dartboard. If you don't know how darts are scored, I'd recommend looking it up.

Dart Colors:

To make it easier to understand where your darts hit, the colors correspond to the point values.

• Red - Double Bullseye
• Green - Single Bullseye
• Yellow - Triple Ring
• Blue - Double Ring
• White - Standard Points
• Black - No Points (outside the board)

Leaderboards:

For a game of this scale, I felt like it was unnecessary to make players create accounts to save their scores, so instead, the only info that is asked of the players is a display name. I would recommend using a unique display name, so your scores won't get overwritten by someone using the same name. Since this game is so short, it is good for competing for a highscore in the leaderboards.

About this Game's Development:

I made my own meshes using Blender and textures using Google Drawings. I developed this game with C# in the Unity Game Engine and used PHP and MySQL to handle the online leaderboards.
